Our History

The Seventh-Day Christian Conference was incorporated on February 3, 1937 in New York City. Its mission is to:

  • Promote the Christian faith

  • Foster spiritual growth among members

  • Share the teachings of the Old and New Testaments, with emphasis on the Ten Commandments and the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Our faith is rooted in the Bible as God’s inspired word, salvation through Jesus Christ, the seventh-day Sabbath (Saturday), and the practice of Christian ordinances such as baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and fellowship.

Origins

The Conference began in 1928 when a group of former Seventh-day Adventists separated due to concerns over racial discrimination. By 1934, several of these independent churches united to form the Seventh-Day Christian Conference, standing firmly on biblical equality and rejecting all forms of discrimination.

Individual churches, such as Victory Tabernacle Seventh-Day Christian Church (founded in 1934), have a long tradition of worship, community service, and outreach—through education, health awareness, and social support initiatives.

The Seventh-Day Christian Conference continues to serve communities in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean, guided by its mission to uphold God’s word, strengthen believers, and share the hope of Jesus Christ.

Join Our Church
